Where and when is the festival?
October 3rd at Planet Ant Theatre, 2320 Caniff St., Hamtramck, MI 48212. Doors open at 6pm, event starts at 7pm sharp — we run a tight ship!
How old do I have to be?
21 and up, no exceptions. We will be checking ID (License, Passport, or State ID).
What can I expect to see during the festival?
We will showcase a wide range of kink-related erotica and pornography, including explicit acts and bizarre or possibly grotesque art. We encourage all attendees to consider their own needs and boundaries during the festival!
Is the venue accessible?
Yes — we have a wheelchair ramp we can set up, and an accessible bathroom in the Ghostlight Bar. We've subtitled as many films as we could, but not all of them have subtitles yet, however, wherever we can we will have subtitles for films. How do I get tickets?
Go to Shop, then select "2026 RE/STRICT Film Festival Ticket."
Are there discounts for students or groups?
No, there are no discounts for tickets. We do run a donation option for extra tickets, but those have been accounted for this 2026 season.
Can I attend if I don't have a ticket?
No, you must purchase a ticket to enter. We sold out last year and had to turn people away at the door — please get your ticket and fill out your consent waiver ahead of time. Tickets may also be available day-of at the door, but we can't make any promises given last year's sellout.
Why do I have to fill out a consent waiver?
Due to the nature of the films and performances, we ask every attendee to complete the waiver confirming they agree to experience this content.
What payment methods do you accept?
Venmo, CashApp, and cash — both at the merch table and for day-of tickets.

How do I get there?
Take I-75 to the Caniff/Holbrook exit. Turn east on Caniff. We're a quarter mile down, on the north side, across from the library.
Where do I park?
The library parking lot, or street parking.

What should I wear?
Kink-inspired fashion is encouraged, but no nudity — this is not a play party.
Can I bring outside food or drinks?
No outside food or beverage is allowed.
Can I take photos or record during the festival?
No. We'll have a photographer on site, plus a step-and-repeat for photos. Please keep your phone away during the films!
Can I leave during the festival?
Yes — just keep your wristband on for our door staff. We run a tight schedule, so read it in advance and plan accordingly.
I have meta glasses and I want to wear them in to let everyone know I am a creep, is that cool?
No. If we see anyone with these glasses they will be asked to leave and blocked from attending in the future. Also, gross!

Will there be food or drinks?
Yes! Kôprová Slovak Kitchen is joining us again this year (@koprova_kitchen on Instagram/Facebook). The Ghostlight serves drinks down the hall — you're free to come and go.
Can I buy merchandise at the event?
Yes! We'll have a merch table with shirts, stickers, zines, and materials from community partners.
Will you have masks?
Yes — and we're thrilled to partner with Safer Shared Air Collective to run filters throughout the festival.

Can I volunteer?
Volunteers are pre-selected, but if you're moved to help, email info@restrictfilm.com and ask.
How can I stay up-to-date with the schedule?
It's posted on the main landing page. Follow us on Bluesky, Instagram, and FetLife for updates.
Will there be a virtual option?
No — in-person only, one night only.
