About RE/STRICT
RE/STRICT is a magazine confronting the growing wave of censorship in the U.S. As politicians and institutions try to shut down honest expressions of sexuality, identity, and power, we publish work rooted in kink — photography, performance, and the written word. We make space for voices that have been labeled "too explicit," "too political," or "too much."
PLEASE NOTE: All work should challenge mainstream norms and center fat, queer, trans, non-binary, disabled, and/or BIPOC identities.
We will not accept submissions involving: minors, animals, necrophilia, vomit, snuff, or scat.
What we are looking for
We are seeking submissions of original visual art and long form work by perverts, for perverts. We want work that upholds a commitment to counter culture. Work that is honest and incisive. We are interested in art and writing that interrogates our world. Work that wrestles with politics, bodily autonomy, queerness, race, fatness, class, identity, desire, power, and the contradictions we live inside. We are interested in lived experience, critique, reflection, and experimentation. NO AI.

Submission Requirements
Please submit all materials in one email. You will receive a response within two weeks. If your work is accepted, you will be asked to complete a short form with social media information for sharing purposes. Please respond within one week to secure your information.
Please include:
Artist name and pronouns
Short bio
Artwork titles and medium
1 to 10 images of work (JPG preferred)
Written submission as a PDF attachment
A few brief sentences explaining why you want this work in the magazine

Due to volume, we may not be able to respond to every submission. We strongly encourage applicants to submit again in the future.
Content Guidelines
All work must be original and created by the submitting artist or author.
Explicit consent must be obtained from all parties depicted or involved in NSFW content. All individuals must be 18 or older.
Submissions must not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or likeness rights.
No AI generated or AI assisted work will be accepted.
We reserve the right to decline submissions for any reason, at any time.
Rights and Usage
By submitting to RE/STRICT magazine, you agree that:
You retain full ownership of your work.
You grant RE/STRICT magazine non-exclusive rights to publish your work in print, digital, and social media formats, with proper credit.
During the editing process, images may be lightly cropped for layout purposes. Any changes beyond slight cropping will be discussed with the artist.
You allow RE/STRICT full use of submitted materials without monetary compensation, in exchange for publication credit.
